I have two main passions in life: my family and teaching. Sometimes the two go hand in hand, because the way I guide students is very much like the approach I’ve used with my children and grandchildren. I also love to travel with my husband and family. We’ve just returned from a wonderful week in the Dominican Republic, which followed
other summer trips to conferences in Orlando and Albuquerque.
Teaching young people gives me a lot of satisfaction and fulfillment. Ultimately, instilling a love for Spanish and the cultures of Spanish people through language acquisition is what I try to achieve in my classes. As a native of Argentina, I want to exemplify the values of the Spanish culture and the richness of the language.
My research interests include foreign language pedagogy and Spanish as spoken in the United States by different groups of immigrants.
I invite all of you to join me in discovering a new language. As we learn together, we will have fun, we will form a community and we will grow as individuals and citizens of the world.
