Donna K. Martin is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for St. Louis-based Ameren Corporation. With assets of more than $18 billion, Ameren serves approximately 3.2 million electric and natural gas customers in Missouri and Illinois.

In May 2002, Donna joined Ameren as Vice President Human Resources. In 2003, she also assumed responsibility for employee communications services. In 2005 she was promoted to Senior Vice President and added corporate communications and labor relations to her responsibilities. She is the first woman in Ameren’s 100-plus year history to hold the role of SVP reporting to the CEO. With more than 20 years’ experience in human resources management, Donna joined Ameren from Faulding Pharmaceuticals, a global pharmaceutical company, of Paramus, New Jersey, where she was senior vice president, Human Resources. In addition, she served as head of Human Resources in North America for Pharmacia, and as Vice President Human Resources for Monsanto Company and Baxter Healthcare Corporation, both global positions.

Donna is actively involved in a variety of organizations and on numerous boards. She is a founding member of Winning Women; she serves on the Board and is Chair of the Political Inroads Committee. She is on the Board of the Center of Creative Arts (COCA), serves on the Executive Committee, and established and chairs the Human Resources Committee of the Board.

Donna also is a member of Webster University’s Board of Trustees and serves on both the Advancement and Student Life Committees. She serves on the Board of the American Heart Association and chairs the 2007 Go Red for Women campaign for St. Louis. In 2004 Donna was named one of the 25 most influential business women of St. Louis. She has been appointed to serve on the Board of the United Way of Greater St. Louis. Donna is also a member of the St. Louis Forum. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s of education degree from Northern Illinois University
