MELBA R. MOORE
Melba R. Moore is the Commissioner of Health for the St. Louis City Department of Health. Prior to her appointment she was Deputy Mayor for Events, worked for the Health Department as the Sickle Cell Program Manager, served the American Lung Association of Missouri as director of its tobacco use prevention program, and was chief executive officer for the National Coalition for Stroke Prevention Awareness. She holds a BA in Psychology from Webster University, an MS in Health Management from Lindenwood University, and is a graduate of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government for State and Local Senior Executives. She is a Commissioner on the St. Louis Regional Health Commission, sits on numerous boards and commissions involving healthcare issues, and has served as President of the Webster University African American Alumni Chapter.
