INTERNATIONAL NGO (INGO) MASTER'S PROGRAM

Educates students to understand world affairs through the activities of International Nongovernmental Organizations (INGOs), which often play roles on a par with government and business in the developing world. Besides a foundation in International Relations, it focuses on specific skills needed in a managerial role in the NGO and non-profit world, including cross-cultural team leadership, grant writing and fundraising, negotiating skills, finance, project management, and more.

Dan Hellinger is Professor of Political Science at Webster University and holds the Ph.D. from Rutgers University. He is a co-editor, contributor, and author of several books such as Venezuelan Politics in the Chávez Era, Venezuela: Tarnished Democracy, and The Democratic Facade. His future publications include Democracy at Last textbook and Participation, the State and Civil Society in Venezuela co-edited book. He has also published numerous scholarly articles on Latin American politics. Dan is an avid golfer and amateur musician, playing mandolin with his band, Maple Jam.
