International OpportunitiesWe cannot succeed in today’s globalized world without understanding the variety of cultures and traditions that shape it.
The events, trends, people and products that influence us every day are increasingly the result of a global melting pot of
international traditions and aspirations. Preparing students for this reality is a core part of Webster University’s mission. With total immersion academic programs including an acclaimed study abroad program, campuses on three continents, and students from nearly every country in the world, Webster’s growing international network of campuses, faculty and students ensures each student has ample opportunity for a truly international education. Indeed, "The sun never sets on Webster University." Students at Webster University can attend classes in Cha-Am/Hua Hin (Thailand), Geneva (Switzerland), Leiden (The Netherlands), London (England), Shanghai (China), and Vienna (Austria). Short-term Study Abroad OpportunitiesFaculty-led short-term study abroad programs enrich the curriculum by taking learning to new dimensions outside the classroom and the country. These programs allow participants to understand the world around them by immersing them in other languages and/or cultures. The learning experiences afforded by these programs help support the University's mission of transforming students for global citizenship and individual excellence. They are also a necessary alternative for students who cannot accommodate international year-long or semester programs. The Global Legal Studies Program is such a short-term hybrid program, with four individual courses taught partially on-line and partially on-site in Leiden, the Netherlands. This summer hybrid program is perfect for Legal Studies students and students from other disciplines who cannot devote a year or an entire semester to other more conventional study abroad opportunities.
