MEET THE TEAM
David Carl Wilson is the Dean of Webster University’s College of Arts & Sciences, which serves almost 8,000 students and offers 40 degree programs at 35 locations in six countries. As Dean he has worked to raise the College’s profile, to build its enrollments and quality, and to strengthen its resource base. During his tenure, the first endowed professorship in Webster’s history has been established and many new programs have been launched, ranging from an undergraduate emphasis in Biotechnology to the Global MA in International Relations. Wilson also serves as Professor of Philosophy at Webster, teaching a variety of courses and lecturing widely on topics such as reasoning, ethics, science, religion, higher education, and leadership. He earned his PhD in Philosophy from UCLA, where he taught and served as Associate Provost until he came to Webster in 2002. He is the author of the highly regarded McGraw-Hill textbook, A Guide to Good Reasoning. Wilson is actively involved in national higher education issues, having served in Boston for a year as a Fellow with the American Council on Education. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of ACE’s Council of Fellows and as co-chair of their national Outreach and Engagement Committee.
Hannah Verity Assistant to the Dean, College of Arts & Sciences For Global Programs p: 314-246-7627 e: hannahverity72@webster.edu ![]() As Assistant to the Dean for Global Programs, Hannah is responsible for directing the Global MA in International Relations. She works to coordinate the program across six international sites and develop all administrative aspects of the program. In addition, Hannah is responsible for assisting with global program initiatives within the College of Arts and Sciences. Hannah is a St. Louis native and holds a BA in American Studies and a Global MA in International Relations, both from Webster University. She is happy to return to Webster as a staff member and help to provide students with the same quality of education that she received as a student. For leisure Hannah enjoys traveling, reading (mostly non-fiction), theatre, the baseball Cardinals and spending time with her family and friends.
Thao is married and the mother of four. In her free time, she supports her children in their various activities, including cheering on her three sons at sporting events.
Debby Miller Director of Operations p: 314-246-8633 e: debbym@webster.edu ![]() Debby, as administrative officer and chief of staff, manages the overall administrative operations of the College. She oversees budgets, facilities, staff support, and space issues for the Dean's office and the nine departments within the College of Arts & Sciences. Debby has a BA in Psychology from Webster University, and is currently working on a MA in Management and Leadership. She enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time with her two children. Barbara Carrow Communications Officer p: 314-246-6997 e: barbaracarrow49@webster.edu ![]() In her role as marketing and communications coordinator, Barb provides public relations support for the College of Arts & Sciences and its individual programs. She is responsible for coordinating communications for the College, managing content for CAS website, and planning various special events. Barb has a B.J. from Mizzou’s School of Journalism and an MA in English (with a linguistics emphasis) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She enjoys gardening, photography, jogging, creative writing, and spending time with her family. In addition to the Master of Arts, Education degrees Tiffany received from Webster, she is a Kansas University graduate with a BA in Speech and Language Disorders, where she studied modification and adaptation of curricula to meet varying student needs and learning styles. When she’s not working with Webster faculty or teaching English Composition at St. Louis Community College, Tiffany enjoys sports and social events with her son.
