WAYS TO GIVE The Annual Fund Thousands of alumni and friends give each year to the development funds of the University's colleges, departments, and programs. These gifts, of all sizes, provide unrestricted funds – a pool of resources that can be easily directed by University administrators to the areas where they are needed most. You may contribute to these funds by:
Webster University Development OfficeMany contributors multiply the impact of their donations by using their employer's matching gift programs. To find out if your company participates such a program, ask your Human Resources department or contact Webster's Development Office. Endowment Funds Webster University is pleased to accept donations of $25,000 or more for the endowment. The corpus of endowed funds is invested, and the interest from the investment supports the University's programs in perpetuity. To establish an endowed fund, please contact the Development Office. Securities Gifts of marketable stocks or mutual fund shares that have increased in value may have an immediate impact on the University's programs and students. These gifts may provide income tax benefits based upon the assets' current value. Donations of securities may be conveniently arranged through the University's online brokerage. To make a gift of appreciated securities, please contact the Development Office for more information. Planned Giving One of the most effective means of supporting the University is a planned gift. Gift planning is the process of carefully selecting the best methods and assets for making a gift, such as cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, life insurance, trusts, and bequests. A planned gift can enable you to assist Webster in its mission of education, research, and service while also reducing your burden of income, capital gains, or estate taxes.
