	Highlights
Anesthesia content is based on the basic sciences. As such: Students complete about 55 hours in coursework such as anatomy (including cadaver dissection), physiology, pathophysiology, physics, cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, genetics, and developmental biology.

The nurse anesthesia program is accredited until 2011. It received its initial accreditation on May 17, 1997 and was reaccredited for ten years on May 19, 2001 - the maximum accreditation period.
