The Nurse Anesthesia Admissions Committee seeks applicants who meet these minimum qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Strength in basic sciences and coursework in chemistry and physics is desirable.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for undergraduate studies, or evidence of outstanding postgraduate academic achievement.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an acute-care setting after successful completion of a State Board of Nursing Examination.
- A current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri by the time an admitted applicant would start the program. Reciprocity inquiries should be directed to the Missouri State Board of Nursing. (Additional state licenses may be required as affiliate clinical sites are added to the program.)
- Current ACLS and BLS certification (PALS certification strongly recommended).
