The Monthly Anesthesia Conference (MAC) provides a monthly opportunity in the fall and spring semesters for all three of our nurse anesthesia classes to communicate with and learn from each other, as well as from current practitioners and others in the health care community. Typically an outside speaker and a third-year nurse anesthesia resident address topics relevant to the field of anesthesia. This benefits current students by providing a collaborative opportunity for networking as well as making presentations at professional conferences.
Prospective students are encouraged to attend, ask questions of currently enrolled students and the Program's faculty, and to learn more about both graduate studies at Webster and the field of nurse anesthesia
Prospective students are invited to a pre-MAC meeting for half an hour with the nurse anesthesia faculty for a brief question and answer session.
Clinical Faculty, other CRNAs and physician anesthesiologists are also encouraged to attend; each of the conferences is approved for 2 CE credits by the AANA. The benefits to current CRNAs and Clinical Faculty are reviewing current literature and practice, recruiting, making presentations, and earning free CE credit for attendance.
Please contact us for an upcoming date.
