SCIENCE LEADERSHIP SPEAKER SERIES
In partnership with the Academy of Science-St. Louis, Webster University's College of Arts & Sciences is pleased to offer a speaker's series designed for leaders throughout the region in science, biotechnology, and engineering.
The inaugural event was a breakfast and panel discussion featuring the CEOs of four Nidus Center start-up life science companies, held Feb. 7, 2006 at Webster University's downtown campus at the historic Old Post Office, located at 815 Olive Street.
The Series continued with panel discussions about building the infrastructure of a technology startup and how to position a company for its next life cycle. As the fourth event of the 2005-2006 Series, the US Patent and Trademark Office offered a full-day of informative sessions, addressing topics such as biotech issues in the patent process and the electronic filing system for patent applications. A local panel of intellectual property attorneys also shared their insights about current trends in patent law.
