Deans Education Series Debuts More than 100 alumni attended the first-ever Deans Education Series, which was jointly sponsored by the School of Business & Technology and the Alumni Association. The series reflects the Universitys commitment to lifelong learning and reality-based education, says Dean Benjamin Akande. Its a great resource for working professionals. The spring series offered alumni a selection of six two-hour seminars on topics that ranged from negotiation skills to identity theft to web site design. Cliff Bachman, a project coordinator at Monsanto who received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Webster, attended four of the seminars. I included them in my professional development goals at Monsanto this year, Bachman says. It was a plus for me to attend. The series will be held again in the fall. For more information on topics and dates, check the events calendar section of the alumni web site.
