Webster's Account Executive Staff (also known as faculty) is seeking motivated students, who wish
to obtain a degree in Advertising/Marketing Communications. Fabulous
opportunity to work with award-winning instructors who have a
minimum of ten years experience in the field. You will be learning
from "Pros" who bring the "real world" of advertising and marketing communications into the classroom
with practical hands-on assignments. Successful candidates will
have completed high school before entering the undergraduate program, or a
related undergraduate degree for the graduate program. Scroll

Susan Seymour-Program Coordinator
Associate Professor-Communications, Webster University. Susan
teaches graduate and undergraduate classes in advertising and
marketing communications. She has developed several new courses
including: Advertising Campaign Production, Professional Development
in Advertising, Ad Production for Internet (where we developed
these pages!) and Business-to-Business Marketing Communications.
She is responsible for coordinating the undergraduate major and
graduate emphasis. Susan has a broad background in advertising
and marketing communications. She spent 15 years in the field
working for companies such as Southwestern Bell, Anheuser-Busch,
ITT and ACF. In addition to her duties at Webster, she is a freelance
writer and consultant providing: concepting, research, writing
and editing for sales promotion, advertising, public relations
and direct mail materials. Susan is the person to talk with if
you plan to seek an Advertising/Marketing Communications degree.
Ed Barnidge
Associated with D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles Advertising for
30 years (1962-1992). Held the position of Senior Vice President,
Account Group Director and managed a portfolio of nationally known
clients such as Anheuser-Busch, Brown Shoe Company, Ralston Purina,
Rawlings Sporting Goods and Shelter Insurance. Currently a partner
in The Kerry Group, Ed brings valuable insight about the advertising
profession to the classroom.
Brenda Bertts Long
Associate Creative Director, D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles. Brenda
is an experienced producer and copywriter. She has written copy
for clients such as:TransWorld Airlines, PET, ConAgra, Jack Daniel's,
Six Flags over Mid America, M&M Mars, the Humane Society of Missouri;
and for products as diverse as theme parks, pizzas and telephones.
With Brenda's background and experience, graduate
students gain an understanding of the importance of developing outstanding
creative strategy and copywriting.
Kevin Berwin
President, Filmcraft 44 Corporation. Producer/Writer/Director
of more than 100 television commercials, shot on film and video
for markets from California to Florida. Responsible for educational
videos, industrial and marketing tapes for a variety of clients
including Southwestern Bell, the National Council On Aging, Union
Electric, and Sherwood Medical Company. He created "World News
Report," a weekly news analysis program cablecast live since 1983.
Kevin brings his knowledge and first-hand experience to students
in the television ad production studio.
Sally Howald
Creative Director, Turec Advertising (1978-1996). Responsible
for writing and producing television, radio and print advertising
for a large variety of retail clients. Experienced in writing
and presenting complete advertising campaigns for the acquisition
of new business. Awards for creative excellence include 10 Marconi
Awards from the St. Louis Radio Association and four Flair Awards
from the American Advertising Federation of St. Louis. Sally understands
the creative process and what it takes to produce effective advertising.
Walt Jaschek
Executive Creative Consultant, World Wide Wadio and Executive
Creative Director, Paul & Walt Worldwide. As copywriter, producer
and creative director, Walt has generated thousands of commercials
and print ads for regional and national clients. He has garnered
hundreds of awards for his work, including three Clios, six national
Addys, two radio Mercury awards, and three "Best of Show" regional
Addys. Walt knows what the "real world" of advertising is all
about.
Bob Lauman
Director-Sales & Marketing, Harrison Williams Fixtures, Inc. Over
20 years in sales, staff management and business development.
Managed sales staff and sold show exhibits to major corporations;
directed market research, market planning, assessment, and pricing
of new product and market opportunities. Experienced in the creation
and implementation of product and image advertising and promotional
programs. Developed marketing strategy, channel analysis for product/service
groupings, research criteria, collateral and sell-in materials.
Professional speaker on sales and marketing techniques for various
companies including four years touring with the Success Symposium
for small business owners.
Ed Musen
Partner, Manager of Retail Division, Kupper Parker Communications.
Ed has over 25 years experience in the advertising agency business.
He is thoroughly versed in all aspects of the functions of an
advertising agency. Throughout the years, his creative work has
earned dozens of awards, including Emmys, Tellys, Marconis and
Addys. He is a seasoned professional with an incredible amount
of experience that he brings to advertising/marketing communications
students.
Sheila Noonan
Manager of Corporate Media, Southwestern Bell Corporation. Sheila
has logged 18 years in the advertising and communications industry
as both an agency media director and as a client. Sheila's experience
spans consumer marketing and advertising, business-to-business
advertising and agricultural advertising. She has worked with
clients such as Anheuser-Busch, Southwestern Bell, Smith Kline,
and McDonnell Douglas. She brings extensive expertise in agency
media work into the classroom.
Barry Smith
Senior Creative Manager, Merchandising/Promotion Development,
Anheuser-Busch, Inc. Manages the planning, development and execution
of all Budweiser brand merchandising and promotional activities.
Primary responsibilities involve the overall creative coordination
of all non-advertising marketing programs for Budweiser, Bud Light,
Bud Dry and Ice Draft across all marketing concentrations: Brand,
Ethnic, Geographic, and Sports Marketing. Barry brings 20 years
of experience to the classroom.
Doug Steinmetz
Director, Multi-Media Business Theatre, Maritz Communications.
Responsible for creative concepts, design and multi-media development
of business meeting presentations, and print projects. Major shows
may include a few, or all of the following media: audio visuals,
live cast, displays, motion, special effects-pyro/lasers, video,
videodisc, print materials, and electronic media. Doug has collected
numerous professional honors for his work.
Chris Winter
Vice President, Regional Marketing Manager, Commerce Banshares,
Inc. Responsible for all consumer and business marketing for the
St. Louis region; strategic planning, research and product development;
creation/production of all marketing material to support bank
business objectives; development, execution and analysis of all
advertising sale promotion, direct local response, and POS at
the corporate, regional, and local level. Chris brings her considerable
expertise on strategic planning, design, development, execution
and analysis of consumer and business-to-business direct marketing
and promotional direct campaigns into the classroom.
