› InTurn: What People Say
The ever-present ambition of Webster University is to provide real knowledge for real-world success. Nowhere is this goal more evident than in the School of Communications' internship program.
The program — available and coordinated at the St. Louis home campus — was designed to assist students as they bridge the academic and professional worlds. But a successful internship can become so much more.
If conducted appropriately, it's an opportunity for a promising student to gain valuable experience and for potential employers to gain an equally valuable asset.
More than 150 students annually secure internships through the School of Communications, in all fields of study. Our students work at companies and organizations in St. Louis and around the world.
And at Webster University's School of Communications, we approach the internship placement process a little differently than most. Each student receives individual attention and is provided with several opportunities to consider.
Each student's strengths are evaluated to match him or her with the best opportunity for growth. Ongoing evaluation, correspondence and site visits ensure the opportunity is a fruitful one.
The goal is a win-win for students and employers. Employers get a fresh perspective and students gain real knowledge for a future of real-world success.
