One Webster: The Annual Fund
The purpose of the Annual Fund at Webster University is to support the people, places and programs of Webster University worldwide through outreach and fundraising. The Annual Fund works to fulfill its purpose by sponsoring five key programs: Phonathon, Direct Mail, Webster Parents Association, Graduating Class Gift Committee and Faculty/Staff Giving.
Direct Benefits of Annual Giving
To ensure Webster’s long-term growth and success, the Annual Fund seeks the support of the University’s alumni, parents, and friends in the form of yearly gifts to:
- Increase scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students,
- Fund the purchase of new classroom resources and technologies,
- Aid in the acquisition of scholarly books and journals,
- Support study abroad opportunities throughout Webster’s worldwide network,
- Underwrite faculty and student attendance at academic conferences,
- Assist in the ongoing maintenance of facilities throughout the Webster network,
- Ensure that tuition and fees remain affordable,
- Make a positive and lasting difference in students’ lives, and
- Much, much more.
Indirect Benefits of Annual Giving
Your generosity ultimately builds Webster’s strength and reputation for the future. Gifts to the Annual Fund play an important role in:
- Boosting Webster’s status in national collegiate rankings, such as those published annually by U.S. News and World Report, which many high school seniors and their parents reference in their college search,
- Enabling the University to continue to attract the best and brightest students, as well as to recruit outstanding faculty members, and
- Encouraging foundations and corporations to support Webster with additional gifts and grants.
All of the above have a profound and lasting impact on the overall value of each and every Webster degree--past, present and future!
