School of Communications
Webster University’s
School of Communications is making a name for itself as one of the University’s fastest growing schools. It encompasses more than 700 undergraduate students in 11 majors and 150 graduate students in degree programs with five areas of emphasis.
Recent accolades for the School of Communications include:
- Brian Jun, BA Film 2001, directed "Steel City," which will compete at the Sundance Film Festival in the Independent Film Competition: Dramatic section. The film, Jun’s first feature length production, explores the relationships among the men of a working-class family.
- Angie Ottinger, BA Film 2001, earned a coveted spot at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival for her short film and senior project, “The Donut King.”
- Advertising and Public Relations students received regional and national awards for their mock “campaign” course projects.
- The students of the Forensic and Debate Team captured local, regional and national awards.
