Document Delivery

Current Webster University students, faculty, and staff at non-St. Louis area campuses in the U.S. may request books and book chapters from the libraries' main collections and copies of articles from periodicals via our Document Delivery Service.  We can supply book chapters and copies of articles to our Webster University students, faculty, and staff at our international campuses.

The following items ARE NOT available through document delivery:

  • Non-circulating books (e.g. reference and rare books, books on reserve, other books that do not leave the library building.)
  • Entire issues of periodicals

Please make sure that your bibliographic citations are complete and accurate. If you need help finding a complete citation please contact the Reference Desk by phone 314-968-6950, 1-800-985-4279 or at askref@webster.edu. We attempt to fill requests for books and articles from journals owned by the Library within two business days. It takes an average of 5 to 7 business days to fill requests for copies of articles which aren't available from our collections and an average of 10 to 12 business days for books to arrive here at the home campus.  We post digital copies of journal articles and book chapters to a password protected portion of our website.  Please use your Webster e-mail address when placing your requests.

If you have any questions please contact the Document Delivery Coordinator at 314-246-5994, 800-985-4279, or docdel@webster.edu
