Faculty Learning Communities

The Faculty Development Center is pleased to offer support for faculty and professional learning communities in order to connect the faculty development experience to the scholarship of teaching and learning through the high impact practice of learning communities.

As we transition to remote support, many of our learning communities will be available remotely. Check this page for updates.

For continued teaching support, including live instructional support and presentations, please check out the Online Learning Support Faculty Page.

What are Faculty Learning Communities?

Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) are interdisciplinary groups centered around a common area of interest in which faculty share their ideas and expertise. Some of these learning communities work together in pursuit of developing new curriculum and scholarship to be shared with the wider academic world, while others serve as an opportunity for faculty of all disciplines to learn from each other and build a sense of community.
