Writing Retreats | Webster University

Writing Retreats

Together with the Library, the Faculty Development Center hosts several writing retreats each year to support faculty research, writing, and general scholarly development. All faculty, both full-time and part-time, are welcome to attend these events.

These retreats provide dedicated quiet time for faculty to pursue their research agendas free from distraction, and to experience the support and camaraderie of working side-by-side with colleagues. In addition, Library and FDC staff are on hand to provide services ranging from goal setting to identifying publishing opportunities to copy editing. Coffee and lunch are provided.

Upcoming Writing Retreats

We look forward to scheduling in-person writing retreats when it is safe to meet again. In the meantime, we'd like you to know that your Library liaisons are available to chat remotely! Please consult the Library Liaison Services page to find your subject librarian and learn more about how they can support your research.

For more information about upcoming retreats, contact Liza Dister, FDC Assistant Director, at edister17@webster.edu.
