New Fall 2014 Student Payment Plans Available
In order to assist students and families in paying educational costs, Webster University now offers new installment plans that enable students to spread educational expenses over equal monthly installments.
It’s Convenient: Students may choose to pay with an electronic check or charge to a credit card. Students have the option of enrolling in Auto Pay, so a direct debit is automatically processed to your bank account at no cost. Auto Pay may also be set up to automatically charge your credit card each month. Credit card payments are subject to a 2.75% convenience fee.
It’s Affordable: There is no interest charged on your Webster University installment plan or student account. Enrollment is available online through Connections with a non-refundable $35 enrollment fee. There is no convenience fee associated with online check payments. Graduate students may combine term 1 and term 2 costs in one payment plan with one enrollment fee.
It’s Easy: An imported balance is automatically used during enrollment into the four and five payment plans. The plan balance is equal to the current student account balance less pending financial aid that has not yet paid to your account.
Payment plans were previously limited to automatically scheduled payments through a third party partner, AES, and online enrollment was available through an outside AES web page. Students were previously required to estimate a payment plan balance. The new payment plans provide additional plan options and imported net balances. In addition, enrollment is available through the existing Account page located in the Connections portal where students currently go to make online payments. This means students may now go to one centralized secure location for the below student financial services.
- View current student account balances and recent transactions
- View pending aid and the anticipated student account balance
- View monthly account statements
- Enroll in a monthly payment plan
- Make online payments to their student account or their online payment plan
- View 1098T tax forms
Students interested in payment plan enrollment may select the “Student” tab after logging into Connections. In the “Student Account Financial Services” channel on the right, select “Make a Payment”. This will open the Account page a new browser window, displaying the current balance due, current and pending account activity, and other account information. The “Installment Payment Plans” box will display any plans currently available. Choose the appropriate plan, and follow the online prompts. Currently registered undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to enroll in a monthly payment plan. Students should use the ‘TM’ payment option code when registering for classes, if they plan to enroll in the monthly payment plan
