Program Description

Each day from 9 am–4 pm, a different Webster University professor will work with you in their area of expertise. As professional artists, HAT instructors offer contemporary perspectives as they share advice for today’s art world. State-of–the-art equipment and spacious studios at Webster University will provide a place to improve your technique. Each day, a different BFA student will share their work during “Art Chats and Eats” (buffet lunch provided).

*HAT INSTITUTE is ideal for sophomores and juniors who are beginning to consider options for college, but we will happily challenge seniors to pump-up their portfolios. Students will archive their portfolios digitally, both in CD format (for easy college applications) and online. Areas of studio include, Creative Strategies, Painting, Printmaking, Drawing, Photography, Graphic Design, and current Art History.
