Sigrid Sutter is an actor, teaching artist and voice coach. In addition to theatre and film work in San Francisco Bay Area, she has performed in the Twin Cities with: Red Eye Theater (The Small, The Thugs), Minnesota Shakespeare Project (Merchant of Venice), Classical Actors Ensemble ('Tis Pity She's a Whore), The Strange Capers (As You Like It), The Playwrights Center (workshops with Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Tectonic Theater Project), Workhouse Theatre Company (Proof, 100), the Jungle Theater (Crime and Punishment), among others. She completed her formal actor training at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in residence at George Washington University, earning her MFA in Classical Acting under the direction of Michael Kahn.

Sigrid has taught acting, Shakespeare, movement and voice classes at the Guthrie Theater, Macalester College (Guest Artist), St. Cloud State University (Adjunct), and St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists.

She has assistant dialect coached at the Guthrie Theater (M. Butterfly), working with Elisa Carlson, and has experience coaching actors in foreign languages including Latin, German and Welsh, as well as classical texts. She is also a certified mat Pilates instructor. Among her many passions are British comedy, French bistro fare and the International Phonetic Alphabet.
