Adjunct Professor of Jazz Studies
Christopher Braig is an eclectic jazz saxophonist, university instructor and recording
An adjunct professor of jazz studies at Webster University since 2007 his duties include directing jazz ensembles and performing with faculty. He has been a faculty member at the Webster University Summer Jazz Camp since 2005 and teaches jazz improvisation at the Webster University Community Music School.
Professor Braig is responsible for instructing all applied saxophone, jazz studies, music technology and audio production classes at St Louis Community College at Meramec.
He is a member of the adjunct faculty at St. Louis Community College Forest Park and has taught jazz improvisation at St. Louis University.
Christopher founded the St. Louis Sax School as a natural outgrowth of his private lesson instruction and masterclasses. Beyond the instrument the St. Louis Sax School seeks to foster community among saxophonists of every experience level and background.
He is a proud graduate of Webster University holding both the Masters of Music in Jazz Saxophone Performance and Bachelors of Music Education degrees.
