David Nalesnik


Adjunct Professor of Music Theory

David Nalesnik earned his master's and doctoral degrees in music composition from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He has also attended Oberlin College. He is a winner of a BMI Student Composition Award and of the MTNA Emil and Ruth Beyer Composition Competition. His works have been performed by members of the Louisville Orchestra, at the MTNA National Convention, and most recently as part of the Missouri Piano Project. He has taught at University of Missouri – St.Louis and Maryville University. David currently accompanies string ensembles at the Webster University Community Music School, where he has served on the faculty of the Summer Composition Intensive.
