Summer Programs in Music
The Department of Music offers various enrichment programs for students and teachers each summer.
School teachers and private studio teachers gain specific skill and inspiration from a robust roster of pedagogy workshops. Summer 2014 features workshops in:
- Theory Pedagogy
- Vocal Pedagogy
- String Pedagogy
Each workshop is designed as a booster/refresher/energizer for those who wish to gain new ideas or concepts. The Voice and Theory workshops are specifically aimed at teachers who are instructing classes or leading ensembles, but who may never had the training necessary to really master the pedagogy.
All workshops include 15-18 clock hours, suitable for one Continuing Education unit in the state of Missouri.

Webster University is delighted to host the Ohio State - Missouri String Teacher Workshop, July 21-24. This is a new event for us, and the first Missouri outpost of this long-established, popular workshop event.
Student camps include Jazz Camp in June and two Piano Camps in July. The Community Music School also offers various summer camps for students.
