A few proud moments this semester . . .

Justin Branum won third place in the 2009 Grand Master Fiddler Championship in Nashville, Tennessee.  Justin is a candidate for the Master of Music degree, with an emphasis in jazz performance.

Nick Zahn (trumpet) and Matt McKeever (alto sax) are members of the 2010 Missouri All-Collegiate Jazz Band.  They join students from a dozen other Missouri universities at the annual state music teachers convention in January.

At the tri-state annual competition of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, three Webster University voice majors won honors last month.   Samantha Schmid took third place in the college junior women category.  Kelly Pappageorge placed second in the college senior women category.  Freshman Julie McGinnity won second place in her division.  A total of 12 Webster music majors participated, with ten of them going forward to the semi-finals.
