Paper Brief/Advising Information for the
Webster University Cooperative Degree Program:
Nonproliferation and National Security Institute

(NNSI)

 

 

This advising paper describes the Cooperative Masters Degree Program between the Nonproliferation and National Security Institute (NNSI) and Webster University. This cooperative degree masters degree program provides an opportunity for qualified NNSI resident graduates to complete the following Webster University master degree:

                    Business and Organization Security Management (BOSM)

NNSI students participating in this program are eligible to receive a maximum 12 semester hours of graduate transfer credit toward the Webster University Master of Arts program selected from Webster University, and can attend classes at Webster in-residence or online.

 Program Development
The Nonproliferation and National Security Institute and Webster University Cooperative Masters Degree Program was developed in accordance with the American Council of Education's Joint Statement on the Transfer and Award of Credit, which contains guidelines approved by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).

Webster University Graduate Credit Awarded
Transfer credit is awarded to NNSI graduates who completed the NNSI resident course. NNSI graduates must submit an official copy of official transcripts to Webster University.Qualified students enrolled in the NNSI/Webster Cooperative Master Degree Program can be awarded a maximum of 12 semester hours of graduate credit toward the appropriate Webster University masters degree programs as shown in charts below:

Business and Organizational Security Management (BOSM)

The Business and Organizational Security Management degree requires satisfactory completion of 24 credit hours of the BOSM curriculum and 12 hours of graduate electives for a total of 36 credit hours. Satisfactory completion of the MBA program requires the following Webster University courses.

* Individuals who hold Professional or Masters diplomas as Information System Security Specialists or Information Systems Generalists from NNSI will be permitted to substitute a relevant course for SECR 5080 as determined by an Academic advisor.      

NOTE: Students who completed CTA 140, ISC 241, ISC 301, or PFT 202 should check with NNSI to determine requirements to upgrade those courses to graduate level.

A maximum 12 semester hours will be transferable to the Webster University Master of Arts program. Those hours may be a combination of NNSI courses and approved graduate credit from other sources.
