Support Student Life & Athletics
Leadership involvement, social and cultural responsibility, and high impact experiential education – help Webster students to learn and develop as global citizens outside the classroom.
Webster donors may choose to support specific areas outside the classroom that encourage Webster students to become better connected with each other, their communities and the world around them. Student Life, Athletics, Diversity and Inclusion, Undergraduate Research, and Study Abroad Opportunities are all important aspects of the Webster experience that connect directly to our core values and help prepare our students to become their own brand of change makers.
Student Life includes such areas as career development, the student employment program, student organizations, student government, WebsterLEADS student leadership development, multicultural center and international student affairs, housing and residential life, the dean of students office, new student orientation and first-year experience programs, the office of student engagement, and the University Center.
Webster offers a variety of varsity team sports including baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. Through Webster University Athletics, student-athletes achieve an honest and excellent education in the classroom, competitive arena, and community.
Diversity & Inclusion
At Webster, diversity and inclusion embraces all human differences while building upon our commonalities as people. Diversity and inclusion initiatives serve to eliminate discrimination and exclusion based on race, color, creed, national origin, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socioeconomic status, disability, religion or military status.
Undergraduate research opportunities offer students the ability to gain insight into their professional or research fields. Through the Provost's Student/Faculty Collaborative Research Grant Program, more than 50 research and creative projects have been funded over the past three years, enabling students to develop relevant skills and experience while collaborating with knowledgeable faculty mentors.
Study Abroad Opportunities
Study abroad opportunities enhance student learning and encourage Webster's core value of global citizenship. Webster students who study abroad experience increased awareness and understanding of the variety of cultures and traditions that exist in our world.
At Webster, the possibilities are endless. If there is a specific area you would like to support that you have not seen represented on our website, please contact the Office of Advancement at 314-968-7161 or email@example.com to discuss how your philanthropic priorities can provide life-changing impact and benefit to Webster students.
The Gorlok Open Golf Tournament
Each spring The Gorlok Open brings together many Webster University partners for a great day of golf and camaraderie. Proceeds from this event provide significant support for our student athletes who compete at the NCAA Division III level. Our student athletes have a passion for athletic competition with a belief that sportsmanship, comprehensive learning and appropriate life balance are essential.
