Support Webster's Annual Fund
Webster University flourishes because of the support of its alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and friends year after year. Students directly benefit from Annual Fund gifts, allowing them to alleviate some of the financial stresses of college and thrive both in the classroom and the community.
The mission of the Annual Fund is to build participation through yearly financial gifts from alumni, friends, parents, faculty, staff, and even graduating students.
As a donor to the Annual Fund, you may choose to support an area that most closely reflects your personal giving priorities or any of the University's giving priorities such as:
- Colleges & Schools
- Student Life
- Diversity & Inclusion
- Undergraduate Research
- Study Abroad & Travel Funds
- Webster's Vision Fund (serves the University's highest needs to provide the greatest impact)
See Annual Fund FAQs below for more general information.

Why should I give to Webster?
As a private, non-profit university, Webster University relies on financial support from several donor groups – alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends, corporations and foundations. Why is Alumni support important?
Alumni participation rates in private gift support play a critical role in the University’s ability to secure funding from grant-making organizations and in national collegiate rankings, such as U.S. News & World Report. Many corporations and foundations reference alumni participation rates when making the decision to support a university. A strong national ranking attracts top students and faculty and brings national attention to the University—it is an imperative to the strength and the value of your degree and every Webster degree. Regardless of the size of your gift or its designation, your participation will help maintain the quality of excellence Webster University provides its students in their educational experiences in and outside the classroom.
What is the Daniel Webster Society?
The Daniel Webster Society (DWS) recognizes donors who give annual gifts of $1,250 or more during one fiscal year (June 1 through May 31) to academic, co-curricular or athletic programs at Webster University. These funds are used to address the urgent needs and priorities of the University. Donors who work for a matching gift company, may utilize this benefit to become DWS members.
