Curriculum |
The Global Leadership Academy curriculum is comprised of workshops focused on leadership domains in higher education with an emphasis on opportunities and challenges at Webster University.
Relevance
Each session purposefully addresses the relevancy of the topics as they relate to Webster University, offering the latest, up-to-date perspectives of the internal experts working with these issues daily, as well as numerous external experts who bring expertise and fresh perspective on these critical issues.
Community of Learning
The curriculum of the GLA takes into consideration the strengths and roles of the cohort to maximize the learning from within the group. GLA fellows assume responsibilities for tailoring portions of the curriculum and working with internal and external experts to prepare for workshops.
Field Experiences
GLA meeting locations provide exposure to Webster University's unique multi-campus structure as part of the learning experience. Workshops held at each meeting are selected to focus on key aspects of the university beyond the St. Louis area. Fellows participate in relevant field experiences to learn more about these topics.
Mentoring
Global Leadership Academy fellows are paired with mentors who are prior GLA fellows and others who can assist with the reflection on the GLA curriculum and application to personal professional development.
Applied Experience
GLA Fellows will have opportunities to apply what they are learning by completing team projects that are aligned with the University strategic goals.
