Claudia Burris

Senior Editor and Photojournalist

Claudia Burris is senior editor/photojournalist for Webster University’s Global Marketing and Communications unit. The award-winning communications professional has more than 30 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, marketing, publications and project management.

She has an outstanding track record for high quality, high visibility work in university, Fortune 500 and public policy environments. During her more than 21 years with Webster University, Claudia has edited the award-winning Webster World magazine, the commencement book, a bi-monthly newsletter, the annual report, athletics newsletter and marketing publications.

Her photojournalistic skills are now featured in university publications, brochures, social media, web sites and photo exhibits as well as in a variety of external publications including the New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, Riverfront Times, Webster-Kirkwood Times and more.

A board member for the Press Club of Metropolitan St. Louis, Claudia serves as vice president of scholarships for the organization. She is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Council for the Advancement of Secondary Education, the National Press Photographers Association and the Daniel Webster Society. She holds an MAT degree from Webster University and a Bachelor of Journalism degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
