The typeface for the University logo is Sabon. The Sabon family (Roman, bold, italic, bold italic) also is the typeface encouraged for the body text of official University publications. Garamond or Palatino are encouraged if Sabon is unavailable.
The recommended typefaces should be used in University publications in which a specific typeface is not specified. The goal is to establish a continuity of appearance that supports the University brand while promoting a cohesive, professional look to printed communication materials.
In order to meet this goal, there are certain typefaces that should be avoided, including: Braggadocio, Chalkboard, Comic Sans MS, Curlz MT, Lucinda Handwriting, Mistral, Playbill, Sand, Stencil and other similar typefaces.
