Save-On-Server Settings
NOTE: Depending on your email client setup some of these settings may not appear. Please call the Help Desk for assistance.
- Open Mac Mail
- Click on Mail > Preferences…

- Make sure you are in the Accounts window.

- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Put a check mark in the box next to “Remove copy from server after retrieving a message:”

This means that when you delete an email message from Mac Mail a copy is not saved on the server, it is truly deleted. This prevents build up of old mail in your email account on the server. This build up can make your email run much slower.
6. Close the Accounts preferences window.
