Madeleine Albright: Sept. 18th, 2008. Former Secretary of State, the first female to ever hold that position. Secretary Albright spoke to over 500 people in attendance about foreign affairs and the future U.S. involvement in global events. She was a surrogate from Barack Obama's campaign.
Bob Wise: April 15th, 2008. Former Governor of West Virginia, (West Virginia 2001-2005) author of the book, Raising the Grade: How High School Reform Can Save Our Youth And Our Nation, discussed the current issues facing public education today.
Middle East Panel: March 3rd, 2008. The Forum welcomed Lee Hamilton, Congressman Russ Carnahan, Tahmineh Entessar - professor of political science at Webster University, and Jean-Robert Leguey-Feilleux - professor of political science at St. Louis University. The Panel discussed past and future American foreign affairs policies and their impact on the Middle East.

 

Richard Longworth: Feb. 19th, 2008. Richard Longworth is a senior fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and author of the new book, Caught in the Middle: America’s Heartland in the Age of Globalism.

Michael Johanns: Dec. 4th, 2007. Michael Johanns Former Secretary of Agriculture and Governor of Nebraska spoke to the forum about the current state of food safety in the United States.
Ike Skelton: Nov. 12th, 2007. Congressman Ike Skelton, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee participated in the forum from the Truman Presidential Library & Museum, in Independence, MO.
Dr. Peter Raven: Oct. 25th, 2007.

Dr. Raven is a world leader in conservation and biodiversity, has devoted more than 35 years at the Missouri Botanical Garden to building a World-class institution of research, education, and horticultural display.

Dr. Karen Davis: Oct. 12, 2007. President of, The Commonwealth Fund, discussed strategies and ideas directed at fixing the current health care system in America. Including methods to extending health care to all, orienting the health care system around the patient, and raising the benchmark level for quality care
Egil "Bud" Krogh: Sept. 27th. President of, The Commonwealth Fund, discussed strategies and ideas directed at fixing the current health care system in America. Issues for the 21st Century speaker series focuses on bringing leading experts to speak about current issues that impact our daily lives but also for decades to come. Topics range from Iraq, U. S. foreign policy, health care, education, the environment, world health, and civil rights.
Our Pizza and Politics speaker series offers an intimate setting for politicians, policy makers, citizens, and students to gather and engage in discourse covering a range of different issues impacting our society, and to enjoy the free pizza.
The forum offers a range of events outside of Pizza and Politics and Issues for the 2st Century. We host election night parties that invite public policy makers, consultants, and candidates to engage in dialogue with students and citizens alike.
