Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilizing your computer, take existing adult education website and revitalize it based upon input from employer and previous web-development experience.  Manage and maintain overhauled website.  Solicit information from internal leadership team, develop project plans and implement to maintain information at a level that users will frequently return.  Resolve website and application issues.  Clearly document functional and design specification for application using industry standards.

Timeframe: 
Beginning in January.  Working anywhere from 5 – 15 hours per week through May ‘08

Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in commercial web development
  • At lest 1 year experience developing ASP.Net web applications
  • Knowledge of ASP, VB 6.0 and XML
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JaveScript
  • Experience with Web Services, Visual Source Safe and SOAP
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Creative with attention to detail

Remuneration:
Based upon experience.  Starting at $15/hour.

The American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog, Museum Assistant

1 Position Available (possibly 2) Pay rate: $9.25/hour

Purpose: 1) To assist with admissions on the weekend (Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.); and, 2) to work with the Director in building a library of electronic images of works of art in the permanent collection. The individual may also be asked to assist the Gift Shop Manager as needed in the Gift Shop to catalog new inventory. The position will involve a variety of tasks that will not be boring.

Duties: Admissions on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. The person will be asked to open the Museum for visitors making sure the exhibit galleries are in order (lights on, doors unlocked). The person will be asked to greet visitors and take admission fees. He/she might be asked on occasion to assist in the Gift Shop as needed.

The individual will work closely with the Director in establishing an electronic library of images of art in the permanent collection. Photography will be required.

The individual will work with the Gift Shop Manager in pricing new inventory as it is received. He/she may be asked to be available on occasion to assist with Gift Shop sales.

Required Qualifications: Photography skills / knowledge of a digital camera

Computer skills / creating jpeg and tif files

Preferred Qualifications: Photography and computer skills are a must.

Physical Demands: Ability to be flexible and fill-in as needed.

Information Specialist
National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse - St. Louis Area

Description:
This is a part time position reporting to the NCADA's director community services. The position involves a verity of tasks requiring diverse computer skills including typing, graphic arts, data base management, spread sheets, web site maintenance, and data collection and analysis. The position will assist NCADA program and administrative staff with event promotion, development of training and marketing materials, program evaluation, report and grant writing, and newsletter design and editing. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2003, including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Access, and Excel. Experience in Photoshop and PageMaker also helpful.

Depending on a candidate's level of education and experience, the position may involve participation in community development, special events, and liaison with local organizations. Most activities are, however, more of an administrative/support nature.
