All residential students are permitted to bring vehicles to campus.
Residence Halls
Parking for all residents of Maria Hall, East Hall, and West Hall is located in the Garden Park Plaza, Webster University's main parking facility. Residents must purchase a Green Permit for $75 to use this parking facility. Residence Hall students can purchase permits for the Garden Park Plaza parking garage on Thursday, August 20, at One Stop Shopping. If you miss One Stop Shopping, you can go to the Public Safety Office at 536 Garden Avenue to purchase a parking permit.
Garden Park Plaza, which is also home to the Webster Bookstore, Career Services, Academic Advising and Graduate & Evening Student Admissions, is located on Garden Avenue, just past the Webster Village Apartments. The Plaza is equipped with over 750 parking spaces, so residents will seldom need to worry about finding a space. The area is well-lit, but if a resident would like an escort to their room, Public Safety is available 24/7 at (314) 968-7430.
Please review the Parking and Procedures for Residence Hall Residents.
Green Permits
This permit allows our students who live in the Residence Halls to park in the Garden Park Plaza only. This permit does not entitle you to park on any surface parking lot, visitor parking lot, or in the Webster Village Apartments parking lot.
$75 per year
Webster Village Apartments
Webster Village Apartments (WVA) residents can get a yellow parking permit for the WVA Parking Lot and the Garden Park Plaza garage. The cost of the permit is included in apartment residents' housing fees, but if the permit is lost or not returned at move-out, they will be charged $120. WVA residents can obtain permits for the WVA lot when they move-in. Permits are available from the WVA Clubhouse Office. Residents who will be requesting a parking space will need to provide the office with a copy of the registration and insurance information for their car at check-in.
Yellow Permits
This permit allows our students who live in the WVA to park in the WVA parking lot and the Garden Park Plaza garage. This permit does not entitle you to park in any of the flat lots or Hazel Ave. If you choose to park your vehicle in any other lot than the WVA parking lot or the Garden Park Plaza garage it will result in a ticket, boot, or possible tow.
$120 per year (only charged if permit is lost, misused, or not returned at move-out)
Surface Lot Permit Petitions
Students wishing to petition for a surface lot parking permit must do so in writing to Debbie West in the Department of Public Safety. She can be reached at the Public Safety Office at 536 Garden Ave, via e-mail at dwest@webster.edu, or at 314-968-7430. Please review the Surface Lot Petition Letter.
All petitions for the fall semester must be received by Sept. 8, 2009.
Surface Lot Lottery Drawing:
On Friday, September 11, 2009, there is going to be a lottery drawing for all dormitory residents who have purchased a parking permit for the garage for the 0910 school year. The 45 winners of this drawing will be allowed to park in Lot M, located to the east of the East Hall. The winners will be notified by email or telephone and will be asked to bring their green Garage Only parking permit to the Public Safety Office to be traded for the Lot M permits. There will be an increase in cost for the permit of $45. This can be applied to your Webster account. You do not have to accept the upgrade if you do not want it. If anyone does decide to turn it down another resident's name will be drawn.
Visitors
Visitor parking is limited to individuals not affiliated with the University, and no current students, faculty or staff are allowed to park in visitor parking spaces at any time. There are visitor parking spaces available in the Garden Park Plaza Parking Garage. There are also visitor spaces in Lot M next to East Hall--if you park in one of these spaces, you must sign in at the ResLife Office (M-F from 8:30am-5pm) or at the East Hall Front Desk (when the office is closed). In addition, visitors to residents of the Webster Village Apartments can park in Lot G behind the Alumni House and Public Safety. Visitors that use Lot G must come into the Public Safety Office and sign in on the log sheet along with their vehicle information and who they are visiting.
