This is a full-time position which is funded by the NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant and is available for 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. Start date is July 15, 2008. Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Director of Athletics, the intern will be responsible for external relations which includes: community service projects, SAAC advisor, camps and clinic administration, development of athletic Hall fo Fame and athletic alumni communication. Duties will also include assisting with NCAA compliance and department budget administration and supervising 5-7 student employees.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a strong desire to enter athletic administration. Applicants must have experience in intercollegiate athletics as an employee or student-athlete. Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and writing skills required as well as a working knowledge of intercollegiate athletics and demonstrated skills with educational technologies preferred.
Remuneration: Salary, as stipulated by the NCAA grant, is $20,100 annually plus an additional $3,000 stipend for professional development. This position will also provide health insurance, $2,600 in housing allowance, and $1,000 in meal plan annually.

Position: Assistant Professor in Accounting, Department of Business, School of Business and Technology

Qualifications: We are seeking an accounting faculty member to teach principles and upper-division accounting courses with a start date of August 2008, Ph.D. preferred. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellence in teaching accounting and have a commitment to service to the business department and University.
This position is a twelve-month, full-time tenure-track faculty position. Salary will be competitive with professors at other private schools having regional accreditation in the Midwest. Preference will be given to candidates who provide interdisciplinary and/or international education interests.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in taxation, cost accounting, managerial accounting and accounting information systems, graduate managerial accounting, as well as principles courses and other courses as needed. - An advanced degree (doctorate preferred) from a regionally accredited institution with an emphasis in Business Administration, one of the emphasis areas offered in San Diego or a closely related field.
- Extensive professional work experience in the area of teaching interest.
- Successful teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Recent student evaluations and references should be available to support this.
