It is my great pleasure to share with you the news Julian Schuster has accepted the position of Provost and Senior Vice President. Julian is very excited to be joining our Webster family; his first day will be Wednesday, July 14.

Special thanks go to the entire Search Committee and, particularly, to Co-Chairs Dottie Englis and Paul Carney for leading the recruitment process, identifying outstanding candidates and bringing us to this good result. I think you’ll agree with me when I say that Julian Schuster is a leader who has made a difference for his college and his institution. One of the faculty comments we received following Julian’s visit to campus said, “I spoke to a colleague at Hamline who said the following: ‘If you want to get something done on campus, go see Julian.’”

I have great confidence that Julian will be an equally effective leader here at Webster. Please join me in welcoming him to the Webster community.
