MANDATORY ORIENTATION SESSIONS:

March 1, 2008 and April 19, 2008 at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri

Costs:
Administrative Fee: $1000 per selected student to be paid at first orientation.  Webster University students receive a discount. 

Room and Board:  The program arranges room and board for each participant only for the duration of the internship.  Housing is usually with a host family.  Costs vary by location. 

Personal Expenses:  Students are responsible for transportation and personal costs while in their host country.  Additional expenses vary with amount of additional travel.

Travel:  Students should make their own travel arrangements prior to departure and should provide an itinerary to the IBIE office at least two months in advance.  Students travel at their own expense.

Missouri-China Exchange
Room and board are not with a host family.
Previous internship locations: All internships are at an American company in Shanghai.
Language Requirement: None.

Missouri-Germany Exchange
Exchanges with Universities of Cooperative Education in Baden-Wurttemberg
Co-Sponsored by the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association, St. Louis-Stuttgart Sister Cities Inc. and the Ministry of Arts and Science in Baden-Wurttemberg
Previous internship locations: Marquardt GmbH, Deutsche Bank AG, and Triumph International AG in various towns and villages in the State of Baden-Wurttemberg.
Language Requirement: 2 years of college level German, intermediate proficiency.

Missouri-Ghana Exchange
Exchanges with University of Ghana-Legon
Previous internship locations: Golden Tulip Hotel and Avis Rent-A-Car in Accra; Cocoa Processing Company in Tema.
Language Requirement: None.

Missouri-Japan Exchange
Exchanges with Kansai University
Previous internship locations: Merrill Lynch, Yubunsha K.K., and Daifuku Ltd. in Osaka.
Language Requirement: 3 years of college level Japanese, preferred intermediate proficiency.

Missouri-Mexico Exchange
Exchanges with the Tec de Monterrey (ITESM)
Previous internship locations: Banorte Casa de Bolsa, Grainger, and Viakon Conductores in Monterrey; BAX Global S.A. de C.V., Emerson Climate Technologies, and Comce in Guadalajara.
Language Requirement: 2 years of college level Spanish, intermediate proficiency.

Missouri-UK Exchange
Exchanges with Webster University London, European Business School, Regent’s Business School and University of London
Previous internship locations: Lloyds of London and British American Business Inc. in London; Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Egham, England.
Language Requirement: None.
