1915; the graduate division was established in 1967. Webster University
offers accredited graduate programs in various fields of business,
management, education, the liberal arts and science, and the fine arts.
Webster is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and
Schools, and is licensed in the states and countries where we have
campuses. Webster has memberships with the following affiliations;
American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business; The American
Association of Adult and Continuing Education; The American Association of
Higher Education; and the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and
Programs, to name a few.
Over the past quarter of a century, Webster University
has been the leader in serving adult learners, recognizing the motivation
and maturity they bring to the classroom. To make higher education
accessible to working adults, we offer evening and weekend programs to
more than 16,000 students at 92 locations in the United States, Europe and
the Far East (soon to be more). Classes are offered in five 8- or 9-week
terms per year as an aid to the working adult. These terms allow the
working adult to earn a degree with the minimum interruption of career and
home life. Webster University faculty combine theory and practice: they
are skilled practitioners of the subjects they teach and are adept at
helping students learn.
Webster University- Jacksonville Campus
& Naval Air Station Jacksonville
Dr.
Pat Sager is the energetic Regional Director for North Florida who
oversees the North Florida campuses operations. During her twenty-four (24)
year career with Webster University, which encompasses three (3) countries
and five (5) different extended campus locations, Dr. Sager's vision was
to have an extended campus of Webster University in her home
state----Florida. In 1988, her vision was brought to fruition when
Florida's first campus was established at Mayport Naval Station.
In 1990, the Naval Air Station Jacksonville location
opened as the second campus. The flagship location for North Florida
followed with the Jacksonville Campus. Jax Metro opened in
June,1993 with the MBA major, and five (5) M.A. majors that offered not
only weeknights but also alternating Saturday or Sunday course offerings
for busy professionals. Webster University's North Florida Region has
established itself as a quality academic presence in Jacksonville, and it
has a strong corporate location identity that blends theory and practice
into a meaningful learning experience for graduate students.
