Programs and Master's Degrees

Webster University Louisville Metropolitan Campus offers on-site courses and degrees in six program areas. Additionally, online courses and degree options are available.

Masters of Business Administration – this is a 36, 45, or 48+ credit hour program depending on your undergraduate background and your degree options. Normally, students with a baccalaureate degree in Business will qualify for the 36 hour program. Those lacking that background are required to take three prerequisite classes: BUSN 5000 – Business, BUSN 5600 – Accounting, and BUSN 5620 – Economics. Students who desire an MBA with an “Area of Emphasis” can do so in any of the MA degree programs. MBA Courses

Masters of Health Administration - this is a 36 hour credit program to prepare medical personnel for managerial and administrative positions in the health field. MHA Courses

Master of Arts in Counseling - There are two options: (1) a 60-hour graduate program that prepares professional mental health counselors. Gain the skills and experiences to become a licensed mental health counselor in Kentucky and Indiana. (2) A 48-hour School Guidance & Counseling program to prepare educators and staff for state certification as a School Counselor. These programs require additional admissions steps. COUN Courses

Master of Arts - There are five other Master of Arts degree programs offered at the Louisville site, each requiring 36 credit hours of study.

  • Human Resources Development – Develop a broad understanding of human resource development theory with a working knowledge of individual, group, and organizational development strategies and tactics. HRD Courses
  • Human Resources Management – Prepare human resources professionals to deal with the complexities and challenges of managing today’s workforce. HRM Courses
  • Information Technology Management - Develop managers who can effectively manage the planning, design, selection, implementation, use, and administration of emerging and converging information and communication technologies. ITM Courses
  • Management & Leadership – Assist individuals gain a theoretical understanding and practical application of general management and leadership principles. MNGT Courses
  • Media Communications – Individuals in this program can choose one of three concentrations (1) Advertising & Marketing; (2) Communications Management; or (3) Public Relations. MEDC Courses
