Can I combine Degree Programs?

Yes, there are SEQUENTIAL Masters Degrees and DUAL MAJOR Masters Degrees available at Webster.

SEQUENTIAL Masters Degrees

A student who has earned an MA, MBA or MS from Webster University or another regionally accredited college or university (or its international equivalent) may earn a sequential MA, MBA or MS in another major. The sequential master's degree requires completion of all the required courses in the declared major in addition to any required prerequisite courses.

Any student holding an MA or MBA from an accredited, recognized university may earn a sequential MBA/MA from Webster by completing the ten core courses (five terms full-time).

Conditions required to apply for sequential MBA are:

Student must meet core class requirements of the MBA

If the student's chosen MA program electives contain MBA core classes, then 6 credit hours of those MBA classes may be counted towards the 27 hours of MBA core classes required.

If more than six credit hours (three classes) of the MBA core classes were taken in the MA program, then student must make substitutions for those classes in order to fulfill the 21 remaining credit hours required for MBA degree.

For those of you who might still have entitlement left on your Montgomery G.I. Bill, the VA will cover the cost of a second degree. Many at Luke have opted to use their G.I. Bill for this purpose.

DUAL MAJOR Masters Degrees

A student completes all required prerequisite and core cores in each major area. No electives are required. A single master’s degree is awarded with a DUAL major.

  • Management and Leadership & Information and Technology Management

  • A student who has declared dual majors may transfer into the degree program only courses that are equivalent to required courses.
  • A student who earns two grades of C in a major will not meet dual major requirements in that major, unless one of the C grades is repeated with a grade of B- or better.

Laptops are considered tools of the trade – A laptop puts you into “business class" computing that strictly tablets and ipads just can’t match.  Bottom line:  a laptop is our recommendation for being a successful graduate student due their overall functionality and portability. They come in many different sizes and versions, but you don’t have to spend much to get a laptop that will be fully functional for your graduate program.
