BFA in Acting

Webster University offers an intense four-year actor's training program that culminates with a BFA degree in Acting or Musical Theatre. Both acting programs are based on a block of courses called the Conservatory.

Acting and musical theatre students complete liberal arts courses electives to balance the curriculum and provide a well-rounded education. Music theatre students also enroll in music and dance courses.

All students are accepted into the program by interview or audition and are enrolled in a particular sequence. The Conservatory produces a season of six plays and one dance concert annually.

The productions are performed, designed and constructed by students, using each of three performance spaces: the Virginia Browning Main Stage at the Loretta-Hilton Performing Arts Center, home of The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; the Emerson Studio Theatre below the main stage; and Stage III located in Webster Hall.
