BFA in Concert Design
The Concert Design degree program is a blend of scenic and lighting design curriculum. Many Webster graduates are working professionals in the concert industry where the roles of lighting and stage designers are often blurred.
In addition to classes, students will complete an internship with Bandit Lites in Nashville. Bandit Lites has agreed to partner with Webster Univeristy to help train students on the latest concert lighting technology. Seth Jackson, a Conservatory alumnus who has won many design awards for his work in the field, has joined the Webster faculty to lead this new program.
Concert Design majors are trained to use the latest design visualization programs and automated lighting control technology. The program culminates in the design of full-scale productions as a part of the Conservatory's season.
