BA in Scriptwriting

Every good film, play and television show begins with a good story. At the School of Communications, professors and instructors strive to teach students how to create and develop this story into a workable script.

A degree in Scriptwriting provides students with a structured approach to understanding the craft. Students, by analyzing scripts and producing their own creative work, learn character development, plot, structure, suspense and tension.

Alumni from the program have gone on to write scripts for television and film. In 2003, alumnus Dale D. Moore was awarded second place in the True Independent Screenplay Competition for his script "One of the Enemy."
