International Student Orientation
All newly admitted international students must attend an International Student Orientation organized by the Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs each semester. For Fall 2008, International Student Orientation programs are scheduled for August 15-16 for graduate students and August 20-21 for undergraduate students.
International Student Orientation is a workshop designed to help international students familiarize themselves with aspects of Webster University, U.S. education system and American culture. At the same time, students shall learn about the United States Immigration regulations pertaining to their immigration status. It also covers some important practical matters such as health insurance, employment, transportation, banking, and so forth. Keep in mind, this is also a wonderful opportunity to meet and make friends with other new students from around the world. Accompanying parents and spouses are welcome at the orientation.
MCISA is committed to helping new international students make a smooth transition to life in St. Louis area, the United States and to Webster University as they pursue their education.
