Advising Information for Transfer Credit from the Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School

This advising paper describes pre-approved graduate transfer credit from the U.S. Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS), and applies only to EWS graduates from August 2005-Present. An official EWS transcript is required and must be submitted with the Request for Transfer Credit form.

    ACE Recommendation

The American Council on EducationÕs Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services is the standard reference work for recognizing learning acquired in the military. ACE identifies the Expeditionary Warfare School using these descriptions:

    • Course exhibit: MC-1717-0015
    • Resident version course number: H5F
    • Distance learning course number: 8650
    • Exhibit dates for the course: August 2005 – Present

ACE recommends 12 semester hours graduate credit for EWS including 3 in Personnel Management, 3 in Project Planning, 3 in Wargaming or Military Strategy and Tactics, and 3 in Command and Control or Information Management. Since, ACE evaluations are subject to change without notice, please confirm course information and credit recommendations in the ACE Guide at http://militaryguides.acenet.edu/ before processing requests for transfer credit.
