Are you interested in writing music for films, games, musicals, for orchestras and
concert bands, or just for yourself to play? Studying composition can help you get
there.
The Webster University Department of Music is offering high school musicians the opportunity to see what it’s like to study music composition in college.
Come see what kinds of careers are open to composition majors, what kinds of courses you get to take, and how to prepare for a composition program at the college level.
We’ll do more than just talk. You will compose for live percussionists and hear your music performed in a short concert at the end of the event.
Then hang around for free pizza and the chance to talk to our students and faculty. You are also invited to stay for the New Music Ensemble concert, featuring exciting film scores composed and performed by Webster students.
Parents are welcome to attend.
