Julie TabashHaving received both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, as well as a certificate in musical theatre, from Northwestern University, soprano Julie Tabash Kelsheimer is thrilled to be pursuing careers in the performing and teaching worlds.

Recent roles include Annina in La Traviata and The Plaintiff in Trial by Jury at The Florentine Opera Company, Despina in Così Fan Tutte and Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music at the Pine Mountain Music Festival, Rosasharn in the Chicago premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon’s The Grapes of Wrath, Maureen Reagan in the world stage premiere of the opera-oratorio Reagan’s Children, and Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, Liesl in The Sound of Music, and Sister Catherine in Dead Man Walking at Central City Opera. In the spring of 2016, Julie looks forward to performing the role of Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance at Skylight Music Theatre.

As a teacher, Julie thrives off of helping her students focus equally on a healthy vocal technique, character development, and musical preparation. In addition to being an Adjunct Professor of Voice at Webster University, Julie is a private voice instructor at both the Webster University Community Music School and STAGES St. Louis.
