Keith Moyer

Adjunct Professor of Jazz Trumpet

Keith MoyerKeith is one of the most in demand trumpet players in the Saint Louis region. As a trumpet player, educator, composer, and arranger, Keith’s career has allowed him to perform both nationally and abroad. He is currently a member of the Webster University jazz faculty where he teaches jazz trumpet and performs with the faculty jazz ensemble. He holds a BA Music Performance, BA Music Education, MM Jazz Studies, and an Ed.S Educational Administration. Keith is also certified by the Missouri Department of Secondary and Elementary Education in both Instrumental and Vocal Music (K-12). He is currently also serving as the Metro 8 All-District Jazz Band Vice President and is an active member of the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) and Missouri Association for Jazz Education (MOAJE). Keith is also a veteran of the United States Army Bands where he has performed for numerous high ranking military officers, heads of state, and audiences world-wide for the past fifteen years.

Keith has recorded and performed with both national and regional acts.  Some notables are: Son Volt, The Cab Calloway Orchestra, Petula Clark, Michael Hampton (PFUNK), Greg Thomas (PFUNK), Dr. Zhivegas, The Ralph Butler Band, and the Smash Band. In 2010, Keith released his first album as a leader entitled “First Cry”. The album featured all original compositions and has received radio play across the country. Keith continues to perform in the Saint Louis area at numerous venues.
